State League

The Alabama State League (ASL) is a competitive select league administered by Alabama Soccer for boys and girls ages U10 through U19. It is where practically all officials in Alabama start their refereeing journey.

As part of US Youth Soccer, Alabama State League (ASL) teams compete within the USYS structure. Top ASL teams qualify for the Alabama State Cup, USYS Regional and National events, and may advance to the Mid-South Conference. Success there can lead to National League P.R.O. and the USYS National Championships.

Referees all across Alabama referee these teams in their respective region of State League and then State Cup in Decatur (in the Spring) and Foley (in the Fall).

Pay

These games pay cash on the field before the start of the match.

Regional Referees will receive an incentive pay of $20/game in addition at the end of the season.
